The Maryland State Archives is no longer researching birth and death
records. They will only search for legal purposes, not genealogy. If
you are in need of a death certificate, Trish Surles is willing to
do lookups with exact citations for $5.00, per person, including copy
of certificate . If exact citation is not supplied there is a $25.00
per hour research fee. Deaths and Births for the counties were not
recorded until 1898 and Births have to be over 100 years old to have
access. Baltimore City started in 1875. You can send request to Trish
